How NOT to Play Pocket Sixes - Quality Bad Beat
The other day I decided to sit down and piddle around on Full Tilt Poker. I was playing a few different low stakes tables and pretty much waiting for monster hands. I would occasionally limp into a pot with a marginal hand if it was possible. During this session I served up some serious justice on another player. He had pocket sixes. In all respect he played it decent except for the fact he let me limp in. Then he tried to buy the pot with .75. After that he attempted to buy the pot with $2… that’s enough… check out the hand.
Here is how it went down. I am John8614

Here is the screen shot of my beautiful straight flush. This was taken just before I was all in.Notice how I had the straight on the turn, and he called my $13 re-raise with an open ended straight flush draw. Bozo move on his part.
There you have it. That is how to NOT play your pocket sixes. Could you imagine catching a straight flush on the river, knowing there was only one card your opponent could have to beat you… only to have your opponent turn over that very card. Ouch. Justice is served. I am glad I had the Jack of clubs otherwise I would have been screwed, and most likely broken something and then gone on tilt.
